Pure fish oil is wonderful for your male sexual health and for your entire body!
They are the best and richest source of the natural Omega 3 fatty acids we need to build and maintain healthy bodies. These Omega 3 fatty acids are sadly lacking in the modern diet.
Lack of Omega 3 can lead to many very serious health problems.
It is estimated that 85% of the population of the Western world is deficient in Omega 3 fatty acids.
You've probably heard about Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. They are all essential to good health. And, the media hype makes them all sound like they do the same thing. They do not. The fact is they all function differently. A balance in necessary for optimal health.
It's almost impossible to get too much Omega 3 from the foods you normally eat.
Now we also have Omega 6 and 9. These two, on the other hand, can be a real trouble maker without sufficient Omega 3.
Yes, if you get a large overbalance of Omega 6 and 9 to Omega 3 you can cause yourself more harm than good! Statistically it increases your cancer risk by about 50%.
Omega 6 and 9 are all too overabundant in the "normal" American diet. They are called the "poly unsaturated fats". They are found mostly in common vegetable and salad oils.
Most all the common salad and cooking oils. This includes: Corn, Soy, sunflower seed, safflower, canola, "pure vegetable", margarine, and mayonnaise.... Are way too high in Omega 6! Margarine and mayonnaise also contain the deadly trans fatty acids.
Contrary to media hype,
all these Omega 6 rich "poly unsaturated" oils
to significantly reduce heart disease.
They do, however, produce huge amounts of free radicals. And, people who use them regularly have about a 50% higher incidence of cancer than those who do not.
Don't listen to the advertising. It's false.
These oils and fats truly nourish your system and they do not have the damaging free radical effect of the polyunsaturates. And, yes pure butter is an extremely healthy fat to eat.
Still, you need a good source of Omega 3 fats.
It is unequaled! Nothing else comes close.
Flax seed oil is not nearly as good. The ALA Omega 3 fatty acids in flax seed oil actually stimulate the growth of prostate tumors. Fish Oils do not have this effect.
You can get this fine natural fat from eating plenty of cold water fish or a high quality supplement. The problem with fresh fish these days is that most contain dangerously high levels of mercury.
Unfortunately, most ocean fish suffer from a very high mercury content.
The better supplements do not contain mercury. In fact the companies that produce them are constantly monitoring for mercury content. The fishing is done in cleaner waters. And, the better companies will state the results on the label.
What is the proper balance of Omega 6 to Omega 3?
Research has determined that, as man developed, the balance of Omega 3 to Omega 6 was about 1 to 1 (1:1). Today the balance is about 1:20 or 1:50!
Now, here's the relationship to prostate cancer:
Researcher Dr Mick Brown said: "It is possible to have a healthy balance of these two types of fat - we only need about half as much omega-3 as omega-6 - that will still stop cancer cells from spreading."
The Omega 3 fats in pure fish oil contain: (EPA)eicosapentaenoic acid and (DHA) docosahexaenoic acid. These two fatty acids:
There are two types of fish oil for you to consider: Cod Liver Oil and what is called Pure Fish Oil (oil from the body fat tissues). Both are equal for obtaining your Omega 3 fats.
The difference is Cod Liver Oil is high in Vitamin D and Vitamin A. When you are not getting sunlight on your skin each day, Cod Liver Oil can make up for the vitamin D deficiency.
If you are getting sun each day, pure fish oil is the better choice. Sunlight is the best source of Vitamin D for your body! Adequate sun exposure will give you all the Vitamin D you need. You can overdose on Vitamin D, but, not by sunlight alone.
The long held myth that sunshine produces skin cancer has been proven false over and over again. Sunburn can do it. But, healthful daily exposure actually decreases your chance of not only skin cancer, but prostate and colon cancer as well.
"Clinical data shows:
that people who regularly get sun exposure on
have LESS cancers and LESS fatal cancers
than those who avoid the sun.
It has also been found that these men
have less prostate cancer."
It is believed to be the effect of the Vitamin D synthesis from the UV rays that is responsible for this.
If you are not getting enough sun exposure you are undoubtedly deficient in Vitamin D. In that case, cod liver oil (with it rich supply of Vitamin D) would be your Omega 3 choice.
Carlson's Cod Liver Oil is unsurpassed. So I use Carlson's Cod Liver Oil as well as the plain whole body fish oil.
Clinical studies show that Vitamin D deficiencys are associated with prostate cancer:
-- TC Polek, NL Weigel: "Vitamin D and Prostate Cancer"
-- CM Hansen, L Binderup, KJ Hamburg: "Vitamin D and Cancer "
-- P Tuohimga, A Lyakhovih, N Aksenov: "Vitamin D and Cancer"
-- CJ Luscombe, ME French, S Liu: "Prostate Cancer Risk"
Now, besides all those benefits, Fish Oils are highly anti-inflamitory and they relieve depression! They are often referred to as "Happy Oils" or "Feel Good Oils". When you eat them you feel better! Almost immediately! When you are suffering from prostatitis, or poor prostate health, this can be a great benefit.
When your mental state is good, all problems seem much easier to handle. And, your body heals more quickly!
In Scandinavian countries, where the diet consists of large amounts of cold water fishes, clinical depression is unknown!
If our diets contained all the Omega 3 fats we needed, supplements would be unnecessary. But because are diets are generally deficient in Omega 3 fats, and overabundant in Omega 6 and 9 fats, we need to supplement. The best way to do that is with Omega 3 rich fish oil.
You will find the liquid fish oil is better than the capsules. And, the liquid is far more economical (7 capsules = just 1 teaspoon).
