Rob's story

I recently discovered I have a problem with my prostate, following a urinary tract infection (UTI). My doctor gave me a DRE and pronounced that my prostate felt slightly enlarged, with normal consistency and "nothing sinister." I'm booked in to see a consultant urologist next week.
I searched online and found your site. It has been extremely valuable. I have found massage no. 2 a great help in the morning - I have modified it by moving my fingers in an oval ten times at each position on my abdomen. It has a relaxing effect and enables me to pee more than if I don't massage.
I also tried a Sitz bath and that had a very positive effect, giving a sense of well-being and relaxation.
I have noted your comments on diet and have started cutting out all grains and sugars.
I have also found your observations on the invasive surgical procedures informative and I feel better equipped to make decisions when I meet with the consultant.
Finally, my Aneros (http://www.prostate-massage-and-health.com/prostate-massage.html) arrived in this morning's mail and I'm looking forward to working with it before bed tonight.

William's Comment:
Hey Rob! Thanks for your letter!
It's always so great to see a man experimenting with the different prostate massages and finding his way back to health!
As I describe, the internal massage is the master massage. The number one for direct stimulation of the gland.
But, sometimes the surrounding or even out lying muscles are strangulating the gland and need to be massaged (relaxed) before adequate blood can flow into the gland and enable it to heal and rejuvenate itself. The soothing Sitz bath also helps here as you have found out.
I also commend you an you stopping the sugar and grains! Not an easy thing to do! Especially when we are taught that these are "normal" foods and we've been used to eating them our whole lives.
I have every confidence your prostate health will be improving markedly as time goes by because of your pro-active handling of your problem(s). There are so many men who read about it all, never do any of it, and wonder why their problems remain.
Our prostate health is determined more and more by us as individuals as we grow older. And being willing to take all the necessary actions day by day, as you seem to be doing, is the way to achieve our goals of radiant pain free prostate health!
Warmest Regards, ~ William
